Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this role will see you utilising your experience to perform repairs and routine maintenance on a range of Caterpillar equipment such as Dozers, Excavators, Skid Steers, Wheel Loaders, and Compaction Equipment. As a Plant Mechanic with WesTrac, you will utilise your mechanical expertise to ensure all repairs are completed to Caterpillar standards and meet customer requirements.

 

Roster & Remuneration

  • Monday – Friday, 50 hours per week with opportunity to opt into Flexi-Time
  • Opportunity for overtime & exposure to Field Service roles
  • Total packages starting from $117,027+ (inclusive of superannuation)

    *Above rates are a guide; each candidate will be assessed on skills and experience

Skills & Experience

  • Australian recognised mechanical trade qualification with heavy industry experience essential
  • Experience rebuilding mobile mining equipment and / or components is highly regarded 
  • Solutions focused mindset and ability to adapt to changing requirements 
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Unrestricted Drivers Licence
  • Close attention to detail and ability to perform tasks to meet Caterpillar quality standards
  • Team oriented with proven ability to meet set deadlines
