Field Service Mechanic - Wollongong
 

WesTrac is seeking an experienced Field Service Mechanic to service our Wollongong region! This role would best suit a Plant Mechanic, Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Agricultural Mechanic looking for their next adventure.

Utilising your product knowledge, this role will require you to have excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills to offer high-end support to our customers with service and breakdown solutions on an array of sites. A Field Service position with WesTrac will challenge you whilst giving you exposure to a range of Caterpillar Machines.


Roster & Remuneration

  • Monday - Friday, dayshift only.
  • 10 hour shifts + 30 minute unpaid meal break
  • Potential earnings $121,000+

*Above rates are a guide; each candidate will be assessed on skill and experience


Skills & Experience

  • Australian recognised mechanical trade qualification with heavy industry experience essential
  • Experience rebuilding mobile mining equipment and / or components is highly regarded 
  • Solutions focused mindset and ability to adapt to changing requirements 
  • Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
  • Unrestricted Drivers Licence
  • Close attention to detail and ability to perform tasks to meet Caterpillar quality standards
  • Team oriented with proven ability to meet set deadlines
