WesTrac is seeking an experienced and driven Branch Manager to lead our Wollongong operations. This role is a full‑time position, Monday to Friday, offered on a 12‑month maximum‑term contract.

The Branch Manager is a key leadership role overseeing a high‑performing team across technical, customer service, and administrative functions. About the Role

As the Branch Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance of the Wollongong branch, ensuring safe operations, strong financial outcomes, and exceptional service delivery. You’ll lead a multidisciplinary team, drive continuous improvement, and maintain strong relationships with customers and stakeholders across the region. This role includes 25–50% travel across NSW/ACT and reports directly to Gaston Chan.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading all branch operations to ensure safety, efficiency, and compliance
  • Managing P&L, monitoring sales and service performance, and implementing strategies to meet business targets
  • Coaching, mentoring, and developing a high‑performing team
  • Acting as the primary escalation point for customer issues and strengthening key relationships
  • Conducting regular customer visits to identify opportunities and enhance service delivery
  • Using data insights to forecast, measure, and optimise branch performance
  • Overseeing workforce planning, scheduling, and training
  • Collaborating with internal teams across NSW/ACT to support seamless customer coverage
  • Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency
  • Representing the branch professionally and supporting organisational values

What We’re Looking For

Essential

  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to inspire and develop teams
  • Strong commercial acumen, including budgeting, reporting, customer management, and data analysis
  • Experience in operational roles with a track record of improving performance
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic, fast‑paced environments
  • Strong organisational capability and commitment to safety

Desirable

  • Tertiary qualifications in Business and/or a mechanical trade background
  • Experience with Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment
  • Exposure to heavy industry, mining, or workshop environments
  • Familiarity with short‑ and long‑term maintenance planning
  • Understanding of service or technical operational workflows
