Heavy Duty Mechanic - Specialist

As the Heavy Diesel Mechanic Specialist you'll be reporting to the Project Support Supervisor.
PSG is a FIFO service department supporting WA with skilled maintenance personnel. We handle warranty support, shutdowns, and labour hire roles, equipped with service vehicles and tools.
Location:
Pilbara region | This position is FIFO from Perth, however, support with relocation to Perth or interstate FIFO maybe considered to the right applicant as per policy.
Salary: $198K - $272K + Super - Dependent on XP
Roster:
- 8 days on 6 off – 12.5 hrs (inclusive of 30 mins break)
- 14 days on, 14 off – 12.5 hrs (inclusive of 30 mins break)
- 14 days on, 7 off – 12.5 hrs (inclusive of 30 mins break)
- 12 days on, 9 off – 12.5 hrs (inclusive of 30 mins break)
What You’ll Do:
- Accountable to increase the all-round performance, reliability, and availability of the traditional Caterpillar Fleet product line.
- Communicating and improving the preventative maintenance strategy and product support effectiveness while also working to reduce customer costs and return on investment.
- Assist with Caterpillar preventative maintenance schedules, maintenance teams
- Planning work scopes, trouble shooting, technical reporting and product instruction/training strategic reporting
- Providing team lead, hands on technical assistance and best in class support to the customer's
Skills & Experience:
- Trade qualified – Mobile Plant Technology plus 7 years post trade experience.
- Extensive experience working on CAT mining machinery
- CAT Dealership XP - Highly Desirable
- Strong mechanical maintenance competency, with sound diagnostic abilities
- Ability to work off schematic drawings
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
- Provide support with failure details in relation to repair v’s replace methods
- Proficient in the use of Caterpillar software programs, Sis2, ET, DBS (parts availability)
- Intermediate knowledge of work-order management including repair documentation
