Plant Mechanic Specialist – Machine Rebuilds

Reporting to: Workshop Supervisor

Mining Rebuilds Workshop in Welshpool, WA, is the hub for cost-effective Caterpillar equipment rebuilds and repairs. We specialise in certified rebuilds, powertrain components, and custom solutions, ensuring maximum performance and minimal downtime for our customers.

What You Will Do 

  • Responsible for completing all aspects of rebuilds and repairs for a diverse fleet of Caterpillar machines. 
  • Ensure that all replacements and repairs are conducted to rebuild customer CAT fleets, thereby extending their lifespan and enhancing productivity. 
  • Opportunity to mentor and coach less-experienced technicians and apprentices while engaged in trade-related activities. 

 

What We Are Looking For 

  • Trade qualified in Mobile Plant Technology. 
  • Strong leadership and mentoring experience (Leading Hand/Supervisor background). 
  • Advanced diagnostic and fault-finding skills using CAT SIS. 
  • Experience with CAT dealership and traditional CAT fleet (OHT, Grader, Loader). 
  • High competence in mobile low-voltage electrical systems & air conditioning, with advanced schematic interpretation skills.
