Reporting into Area Manager, the Fabrication Field Service Supervisor will join our Fabrication Team on a Full-Time basis at our Welshpool Branch. This role involves leading and coordinating our team of Fly In Fly Out Boilermakers supporting customer sites and WesTrac branches across Western Australia.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of fabrication and welding support on Caterpillar earthmoving equipment. You will be responsible for workforce coordination, field service planning, technical support, and maintaining strong customer relationships while supporting teams working remotely throughout WA.

Roster: Monday – Friday, 10.5 hours/day (including meal break)

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Coordinate, schedule, and support WesTrac’s FIFO Boilermaker workforce across various customer sites and branches.
  • Provide technical guidance on repairs, maintenance, and fabrication work on Caterpillar earthmoving equipment.
  • Engage with customers to understand work requirements, manage expectations, and ensure quality service delivery.
  • Oversee job allocation, progress tracking, reporting, and workforce utilisation.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, site entry requirements, and WesTrac procedures.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, problem-solving, and escalation support for field service teams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote a strong safety and quality culture.
  • Maintain communication with stakeholders, including leadership teams, planners, and site supervisors.

Skills & Experience:

  • Trade qualified Boilermaker or Fabricator 
  • Previous leadership experience within a Field Service Environment
  • Strong communication and customer service capability with a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement
  • Highly developed problem-solving skills and ability to provide technical guidance
  • Ability to work independently and manage remote teams
  • Experience with Caterpillar earthmoving equipment and systems (desirable)
