About the role
WesTrac is seeking an experienced Field Service Supervisor to provide leadership to a small team of technicians whilst ensuring the safety and quality of work is of the highest standard.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Field Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all aspects of WesTrac service, repair, and general service provision enquiries from customers. The primary responsibility of the position is to guarantee that customer demands are fully investigated and that solutions are provided that benefit both the customer and WesTrac.
As the point of contact between the customer and the technician team, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient coordination of all matters relating to the customer including, sourcing of labour to meet demand, scope, scheduling, pricing and invoicing of work required ensuring the customers repair and service needs are achieved while meeting agreed timeframes and budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintaining and developing new customer contacts.
- Scheduling and allocating work orders for the Field Service team.
- Roster management, review and approval of timesheets.
- Providing leadership to a small team of specialists focusing on marine and industrial applications.
- Effectively planning labour to ensure productivity targets are achieved.
- Promoting a continuous improvement approach to all areas of responsibility.
- Provide technical support for the Field Service team.
- Ensuring a safe work environment is maintained at all time.
Skills & Experience
- Trade certified mechanic/electrician with significant post trade experience with CAT equipment.
- Strong people management, mentoring and leadership capabilities.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills.
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise conflicting priorities and deadlines.
- Advanced stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to establish and maintain successful working relationships.
- Highly developed communication skills (interpersonal, written and verbal).
- Intermediate computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office).
