Branch Manager | Wagga Wagga & Lake Cowal
About the Role
Due to an internal promotion, we are seeking an experienced leader to take on the role of Branch Manager for WesTrac’s Wagga Wagga and Lake Cowal operations.
Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will be accountable for the overall safety, financial and operational performance of the Branch Wagga Branch including WesTrac’s embedded labour operations at Lake Cowal.
As the Branch Manager you will lead a team of 4 direct reports wirth a total team size of approximately 30 people comprised of administration, customer support and trades roles across workshop, field service and onsite embedded positions.
This role will require monthly site visits to Lake Cowal and occasional travel to Head Office in Tomago or other branches across NSW/ACT.
Key Responsibilities
- Set the standard for safety and maintain the positive safety culture
- Oversee branch operations
- Control profits & losses and monitor monthly sales and service targets
- Meet organisational goals through development and execution of branch strategies
- Provide leadership, direction and support to your team, utilising a values-driven approach
- Utilise and understand data to forecast, measure and improve branch performance
- Be the point of escalation for customer queries
- Build and maintain successful customer relationships through effective stakeholder engagement and regular customer visits
- Oversee invoicing, Work in Progress (WIP) and warranty claims
- Support supervisors to promote ongoing development and upskilling of team members
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure statewide customer coverage by sharing resources
- Encourage continuous improvement opportunities within the business to ensure effective and efficient operation
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity in an operational setting
- Commitment to safety and robust understanding of the risks and hazards associated with mobile plant / operational environments
- Experience with Caterpillar (or similar) equipment is highly desirable
- Highly developed commercial acumen with proven ability to manage customer relationships, budgets, analyse data and compile reports
- Professional presentation with outstanding communication skills
- Experience in maintenance/workshop planning (desirable)
- Proven change management skills with ability to influence
- Tertiary qualifications in Business and/or mechanical trade background desirable
