Warehouse Systems Supervisor  

About the role 

WesTrac Tomago is currently seeking a Warehouse Systems Supervisor to support the growth of our operations through this newly created role. This role will be on a Monday-Friday full-time basis, with potential for hybrid work opportunities. 

Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager, this role will see you providing business data, analytics, insights and actionable recommendations, along with mapping improvement opportunities across Tomago Warehouse Operations. The Warehouse Systems Supervisor will develop and maintain reporting to enable accurate planning recommendations aligned with the parts strategy, while also identifying opportunities for operational improvement.  

This role is responsible for leading a team of up to 10 Inventory Control Warehouse Operators, ensuring effective supervision, collaboration, and accountability for team performance and outcomes. The role also involves evaluating process efficiency, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and fostering strong, collaborative relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.  

Key Responsibilities 

  • Conduct annual performance reviews to proactively support and mentor team members, ensuring development and performance  
  • Conduct precise data analysis of parts-related activities and maintain an effective reporting framework that delivers reliable insights into parts performance across different timeframes 
  • Support the development of tools and dashboards to enable tracking of operational targets, key performance indicators and budgets 
  • Demonstrate a commitment to quality customer service while effectively planning and scheduling resources to meet changing workload demands 
  • Support ongoing continuous improvement initiatives and make actionable recommendations to enhance operational efficiency 

Skills & Experience 

  • Qualifications in Information Technology or similar  
  • Demonstrated experience in developing data analytics and process mapping 
  • Experience in leading and supervising teams desirable   
  • Advanced computer literacy skills – MS office, PowerBI and other relevant internet-based applications 
  • Highly developed attention to detail with ability to analyse information & interpret data 
  • Demonstrated ability in project management, including planning, prioritisation, problem-solving, and effective workflow coordination 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including written and verbal 
  • Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills with the ability to develop strong positive working relationships
