About the role

 

Are you a seasoned Warehouse Supervisor confident in your abilities to motivate and lead a team, streamline operations, and ensure safety and efficiency?

 

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supervising day-to-day warehouse operations across dispatch, safety, receiving, general warehouse operation and specialist functions including kitting, reman and hose production. Leading a team of around 30 operators you will assess process efficiency, facilitate continuous improvement strategies and build collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Responsibilities include:

 

  • Ensure a high level of employee safety and adherence to safety policies and procedures
  • Engage, support and mentor team members to achieve development and performance goals by facilitating annual performance reviews
  • Inventory Management, ordering, cycle counting & discrepancy investigations
  • Oversee specialist functions including kitting, manufacturing and hose production
  • Implementing continuous improvement of production efficiencies, equipment maintenance and processes as well as ensuring product quality standards are adhered to and production targets are being met.
  • Dedicated to providing quality customer service
  • Planning and scheduling of resources in line with fluctuating workload
  • Problem solving to ensure customers receive parts on time and as required

 

Skills & Experience

  • 1-3 years’ Supervisor experience within a warehouse environment
  • Experience using SAP, Scale or DBS. (desirable)
  • A dedicated approach to maintaining Safety for yourself and your team.
  • Strong people skills able to interact, engage and connect with people from all paths of life
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal)
  • Strong planning and organising skills
