Due to continued growth, we are currently seeking a Trades Assistant for our Tomago branch in our General Workshop. Working in our rebuilds section, this role will see you working alongside experienced Plant Mechanics, Boilermakers and Auto Electricians to ensure a high quality of output and a safe working environment. With a Cat Certified Rebuild, we aim to recover the performance and productivity of the original machine which will see you managing parts, dissembling, cleaning, and inspecting the latest CAT equipment.

 

This role serves as a great entry-point into our business. If you are mechanically minded and have a strong safety focus when it comes to carrying out maintenance and repairs, you are encouraged to apply below.

 

Essential Criteria

 

  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in the Construction and Mining Industry
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and communication skills
  • Dedicated commitment to safety and quality Assurance
  • Able to work competently unsupervised  
  • Positive 'can-do' attitude
  • Forklift ticket

 

Roster and Remuneration

  • Hourly rates include Location, Shift and Product Support allowances
  • Lifestyle Roster: 15 days across a 28-day cycle, even rotation between day and night shift – 12.5 hour shifts
  • Hourly rates starting from: $36.59+
  • Overtime rates starting from: $54.89+
