About the Role

Our Component Rebuilds Centre & Machine Shop are seeking motivated Trades Assistants to join their team.

These roles work alongside Plant Mechanics, Fitter Machinists, Boilermakers, and other trades, ensuring they have the correct parts and materials required to complete their task.

This is an entry-level position that offers exposure to first-class knowledge of plant material and trade skills with growth potential.

Roster & Rates

  • 2 weeks days / 2 weeks nights (early finish Fridays)
  • Rates from $40.20 p/hr + overtime $60.30 p/hr* *Final rates based on experience and competency

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinating and delivering parts to trade teams in a timely manner
  • Preparing and organising work bays ahead of scheduled repairs
  • Perform scheduled workshop maintenance inspections, keeping parts storage areas tidy and compliant
  • Operating forklifts and workshop machinery (as required and licensed)
  • Prepare goods for transport and fill in required documentation
  • Deliver and collect maintenance materials from offsite suppliers

Criteria

  • Valid Driver’s Licence is essential
  • A current HRW Forklift Licence (highly regarded)
  • Strong organisational and timemanagement skills
  • Great communication and teamwork abilities
  • High level of attention to safety and quality
  • Confident computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision
