About the role

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisors across our Trackshop, Undercarriage and Workshop divisions, you could be providing support to our trades by cleaning and inspecting CAT components, cylinder honing, and other miscellaneous tasks within the workshop. If you're in the Trackshop or Undercarriage area you could be building new components, reclaiming and repairing worn undercarriage components for CAT mining and construction machines for many of our customers across NSW. You will have the opportunity to learn and grow within a supportive environment, with the possibility of additional training and upskilling to expand your capabilities. These positions provide an excellent foundation for those seeking a career in the Heavy Industry, offering valuable hands-on experience and a clear pathway for advancement within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engine block surveying
  • General TA duties – yard duties
  • Assisting and operating and monitoring coating processes
  • General TA duties supporting Dozer Undercarriage Rebuild
  • General TA duties supporting Dozer Track and Idler Rebuilds
  • Ensure a safe work environment, prioritise customer satisfaction, and maintain high technician productivity.
  • Work effectively within a high-performing team to meet deadlines and achieve goals.

Who We're Looking For!

We're looking for people who have:

  • A strong interest in mechanical systems and/or the willingness to learn.
  • Experience using hand tools for repair and assembly work.
  • Ability to follow procedures and scopes of work.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices.
  • Familiarity with component change-outs and engine assembly is advantageous.
  • Collaborative and able to work well within a team.
