About the role
Our Component Rebuild Centre (CRC) at Tomago is offering full-time opportunities for motivated individuals to join a structured 2-year program that combines on-the-job experience with formal accredited training. Set to kick off in February 2026, now is the time to start planning the next step in your career!
This is your chance to gain hands-on skills, work with world-class CAT products, and earn nationally recognised mechanical units of competency—all while being paid full-time Monday to Friday.
You’ll complete accredited training covering safety practices, tool maintenance, and servicing operations. The program also includes hands-on work with engines, fuel systems, transmissions, and engine overhauls.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in assembly and disassembly of engines and powertrains
- Support rebuilds activities that serve our customers
- Ensure safe work practices and contribute to team productivity
- Work together to meet deadlines and deliver quality outcomes
Roster & Remuneration
- Monday-Friday roster with rotating days/nights shifts
- Hourly Rate: $37.53 + Overtime + Super
What We’re Looking For
- A genuine interest in mechanical systems and eagerness to learn
- Experience using hand tools for repair and assembly
- Ability to follow procedures and work safely
- A team player with a strong work ethic
