About the role
WesTrac is seeking an energetic and team-oriented individual to join our team at Tomago as a Leading Hand within our Track Shop. As a Leading Hand, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our internal workshops and external customers. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the day to day operations of the workshop and maintaining equipment, while also providing guidance and leadership to your team. 

Roster & Remuneration 

• Monday – Friday role, 48 hour week
• 2 weeks of days, 2 weeks of nights on rotation
• Hourly rates from $41.92
• Overtime rates from $62.88

Skills & Experience

As the successful candidate you will possess the following skills:

• Leadership experience
• Previous employment by an OEM will be highly regarded
• Solutions focused mindset
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong time management skills
• Nationally accredited Forklift, Dogman, and Working at Height tickets is desirable 
• Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment is highly regarded
• A welding or mining industry background will be highly regarded
