About the role
Due to an internal secondment, we have an exciting opportunity in our People and Culture Team for a detail-oriented Talent Acquisition Advisor for a full time 12 month contract.
Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will partner with Hiring Managers and play a pivotal role in sourcing, engaging, and delivering top-tier talent in across a portfolio of trade and professional roles. This role would be ideal for a self driven individual who can problem solve and be flexible in their approach.
Based from our Tomago Head Office, you will support WesTrac’s NSW/ACT business units and be accountable for the end to end recruitment for your allocated portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Create bespoke advertisements to attract top talent.
- Use applicant tracking systems to effectively manage your candidates.
- Plan and facilitate interviews and participate in assessment centres.
- Manage the pre-employment process for candidates and ensure compliance with role requirements.
- Partner with hiring managers to get an in depth understanding of their requirements.
- Think outside the box to deliver creative solutions and ideas for improving our attraction strategy.
- Proactively problem solve to navigate changing market conditions.
- Review and issue employment offers.
- Leverage WesTrac’s strong employer brand to create a robust talent pipeline.
- Contribute to bulk recruitment projects such as apprentice intakes and international recruitment drives.
- Use data and reporting to adapt your approach and/or boost efficiencies in the recruitment process.
- Lead by example modelling WesTrac’s values of Safety, Pride, Accountability, Respect & Customer.
Skills & experience
- Ideally 2 years of experience in recruitment, preferably within the blue collar sector.
- Proven experience in managing the end-to-end recruitment life cycle.
- High level of emotional intelligence and ability to maintain confidentiality standards.
- A people centric approach and desire to work within a fast-paced environment.
- Great attention to detail and exceptional time management.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
- Tertiary qualifications in HR are highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct interviews.
- Exposure to awards and industrial agreements (desirable but not essential).
