Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Sourcing Officer will join our Procurement Team on a permanent basis, at our Tomago (NSW) locaation.

We’re seeking a proactive and commercially minded Sourcing Officer to join our team. This role plays a critical part in supporting business operations through strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, procurement governance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Managing an annual spend portfolio of approximately $20 million, you will work closely with operational leaders, finance, legal teams, and suppliers to identify opportunities, negotiate value-driven outcomes, and ensure procurement activities align with business objectives and compliance requirements.

Roster – 5 Days, 8.5 Hrs/Day

 

What You'll Do:

  • Strategic Sourcing & Procurement – Partner with stakeholders to identify sourcing opportunities and deliver value-driven procurement solutions.
  • Supplier Relationship Management – Build and maintain strong supplier partnerships while monitoring performance, capability, and risk.
  • Commercial Negotiations – Lead pricing and commercial negotiations to achieve competitive outcomes and cost savings.
  • Procurement Compliance & Governance – Ensure procurement activities align with company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
  • Systems & Data Management – Maintain supplier data, procurement records, and reporting accuracy across SAP and Ariba platforms.
  • Stakeholder Support & Advisory – Provide expert procurement guidance and responsive support to internal teams on sourcing, supplier, and catalogue-related enquiries.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Procurement & Sourcing Experience – Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, supply chain or logistics within a corporate environment.
  • Supplier Management & Negotiation – Strong ability to build supplier relationships, manage performance, and negotiate commercially favourable outcomes.
  • SAP & Ariba Proficiency – Hands-on experience using SAP and Ariba for sourcing, purchasing, supplier management, and reporting.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication – Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Analytical & Continuous Improvement Mindset – Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyse data to drive efficiencies and informed decision-making.
