About the role
Our Customer Solutions team is seeking a Projects Support Officer to join their team at our head office in Tomago. This role is a full-time, Monday to Friday position, available on a 12-month fixed-term basis as maternity leave coverage. This position offers hybrid work flexibility and opportunities for career development.
Reporting to the Branch Support Manager, the Projects Support Officer will participate in key projects and initiatives that contribute to business improvement across the state. A key aspect of this role involves managing, enhancing, supporting, and maintaining both current and new business systems and processes. The role further includes integrating improvement initiatives as directed by internal management.
With a strong focus on internal collaboration, this role depends on effective engagement across the business to gather requirements and support the scoping, planning, and delivery of projects and initiatives. This effective engagement is critical to ensuring sustainable outputs are introduced and business objectives are achieved.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support specialist projects by assisting with the development, transition, and implementation of new or improved business systems, processes, and initiatives for relevant stakeholders
- Review and update existing process documentation, including work instructions, process maps, and training materials
- Develop new documentation and deliver training to support the successful implementation of new systems, processes, or tasks
- Review mapped processes and provide relevant data to internal stakeholders in alignment with project objectives, individual capabilities, and requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to deliver project outcomes and uphold operational excellence through adherence to business processes and standards
- Analyse data to identify opportunities for improvement initiatives and recommend appropriate actions
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to identify and recommend opportunities within projects or business units, with a focus on reducing waste and enhancing efficiencies
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in developing business reports and creating data visualisations to support informed decision-making
- Advanced computer literacy skills including MS Office and project management tools
- Excellent organisational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to develop strong positive working relationships
- Developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and interpersonal
