Join WesTrac as a Product Specialist

WesTrac is on the lookout for an experienced and driven Product Specialist to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career with one of the industry’s leading equipment solutions providers.

In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of product strategy and market introduction, ensuring new products are well-positioned for success. You’ll work closely with our Sales and Marketing teams to assess product suitability, set pricing, and lead promotional initiatives that drive growth and customer engagement.

This full-time, permanent position offers career stability and development, with exposure to multiple areas of the business—from strategy implementation and technical training to sales enablement and stakeholder management.


Working hours:
Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm (40 hours per week)


Location:
Ideally based in Tomago or Casula.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead business development initiatives and provide strategic support to the sales team
  • Develop and execute sales strategies using the 4Ps of marketing to position new products effectively
  • Design and deliver technical training programs to enhance sales team capability
  • Manage machine configuration and inventory strategy to meet market demand
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with Caterpillar stakeholders
  • Monitor market share, sales performance, and product data (PIN results), reporting insights to management


Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Marketing, Business, or a related technical discipline
  • Strong product management expertise and commercial acumen
  • Solid understanding of the construction industry or ability to adapt quickly
  • Proven ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies
  • High-level analytical skills with attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Comfortable working both independently and within cross-functional teams
