Due to continued growth, we’re seeking experienced Plant Mechanics and Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join our Rebuilds Workshop in Tomago.

Our Rebuilds Workshop specialises in the overhaul and repair of surface mining equipment for some of our largest customers across NSW. You will work across a diverse fleet—including M Series Graders, Off‑Highway Trucks (789, 793, 777), Dozers (D10, D11), Drills, and a range of auxiliary equipment - gaining hands‑on experience in full machine rebuilds, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.

Roster Options

Option 1: Monday–Friday (Rotating Days/Nights)

  • 50‑hour week, rotating days and nights
  • Roster pattern: 5D2O x2, 5N2O x2
  • Day shift: 06:00–16:30
  • Night shift: 16:00–02:30
  • Hourly rates from: $53+
  • OT rates: $80+


Option 2: Lifestyle Roster – Work Only Half the Year!

  • Complete all night shifts in one swing every three weeks
  • Roster pattern: 5D4O, 5N4O (15 working days out of 28)
  • Day shift: 06:00–18:30
  • Night shift: 18:00–06:30
  • Hourly rates from: $53+
  • OT rates: $80+

Skills & Experience

  • Australian recognised Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or a heavy Mechanical trade qualification with industry experience.
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar or similar brand surface mining equipment is essential.
  • Experience rebuilding mobile mining equipment is desirable.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to perform tasks to meet Caterpillar quality standards.
