ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Up to $55.26/hr + OT | Lifestyle roster available | Tomago workshop

Join WesTrac’s Tomago CAT workshops (Rebuilds & GCON) and work on some of the biggest mining and construction gear in the industry.

We’re looking for trade-qualified Plant / Heavy Diesel Mechanics to join high-performing teams across machine rebuilds, maintenance and diagnostics.

  • $55–$82 +/hr + OT, paid fortnightly
  • Lifestyle roster available (work half the year)
  • Modern CAT workshops – rebuilds & field-leading equipment

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Maintain, repair and diagnose CAT machinery
  • Work across rebuilds, component overhauls and heavy maintenance
  • Perform fault finding to keep equipment running at peak performance
  • Support rebuild lifecycle (Rebuilds) or service & breakdown work (GCON)
  • Work safely and efficiently in a high-performing team

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Trade qualification (Plant / Heavy Diesel / HV)
  • Experience on heavy equipment or mobile plant
  • Strong diagnostics and troubleshooting skills
  • Safety-first mindset with solid work ethic
  • Ability to work independently and in a team

 

ROSTERS AVAILABLE

Monday – Friday (GCON & Rebuilds)

  • 50-hour week | Rotating days & nights

Lifestyle Roster (Rebuilds only)

  • 5D4O, 5N4O | 12.5-hour shifts
  • Work half the year
