Product Coordinator | Tomago

About the Role

WesTrac is seeking an experienced Product Coordinator to join their team on a fulltime Monday – Friday basis at our head office in Tomago. This role will support the coordination and introduction of new Caterpillar products.

Reporting to the Integrated Planning Manager, the Product Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the successful introduction of new products to the market to ensure customer satisfaction is met and exceeded. This role will work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to ensure all new Caterpillar product releases are thoroughly analysed to enable the development and implementation of critical parts lists, component stocking plans, and training and documentation needs. This position ensures these critical parts are stocked for components, new machines and rebuild machines, ensuring consistent supply through the products lifecycle. Through effective use of Caterpillar and WesTrac programs, the successful applicant will ensure efficient and precise stock management to fulfil expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and programs to develop a critical parts list that inventory can utilise when making orders
  • Collaborate with sales execution teams to track and understand product & market introduction whilst ensuring internal stakeholders are prepared for new releases
  • Develop, maintain and analyse action plans to support project and portfolio review, leading to data gap identification and supply recommendations
  • Collaborate with interstate counterparts to ensure limited duplication in processes and inventory levels to improve workload across functions
  • Engage in continuous improvement to identify potential gaps or improvements in current coordination processes whilst providing active recommendations

Skills & Experience

  • Experience in a similar industry or CAT desirable 
  • Experience in a mechanical trade desirable
  • Highly developed analytical & problem-solving skills with demonstrated numerical aptitude
  • Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, and interpersonal
  • Demonstrated advanced coordination skills
  • Advanced computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team
  • Highly developed attention to detail with the ability to create comprehensive and detailed reports
