NDT Technician – Component Rebuild Centre (Tomago)

WesTrac’s Component Rebuild Centre (CRC) in Tomago is expanding rapidly, and we’re looking for two experienced NDT Technicians to join our Engines and Powertrain teams.

About the role

As an NDT Technician in our CRC, you’ll play a crucial part in verifying the integrity and quality of engines, powertrains, and final drive components.

You will:

  • Conduct Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) across a variety of heavy equipment components to verify quality and safety
  • Apply advanced NDT methods, tools, and equipment
  • Accurately interpret results and ensure compliance with relevant standards
  • Maintain detailed inspection reports and documentation
  • Work closely with rebuild teams to support efficient turnaround and high‑quality outcomes

 

What we’re looking for

  • Ultrasonic (UT) Level 1 & 2 certifications (essential)
  • First Class Welding experience (advantageous, not essential)
  • Previous experience as an NDT Technician in heavy industry, manufacturing, or similar environments
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
  • Confident working independently and as part of a fast‑paced team
  • Clear communication and solid documentation skills
