WesTrac’s Component Rebuild Centre (CRC) in Tomago is growing rapidly - and we’re looking for two talented NDT Technicians to join our high‑performing teams.
This is your chance to work in a world‑class facility where you’ll play a vital role in assessing and validating the integrity of engines, powertrains, and final drive components from some of the largest and most advanced Caterpillar machinery in the industry.
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisors across our Engines and Powertrain divisions, you’ll be part of a dynamic, safety‑driven environment where quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything we do.

Roster & Remuneration

  • Monday to Friday role
  • Week One – day shift, Week Two – night shift
  • Early finish Fridays!

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT) on a wide range of components to verify quality and safety
  • Apply advanced NDT methods, tools, and equipment
  • Interpret results accurately and in line with relevant standards and specifications
  • Maintain detailed inspection records and prepare clear reports and recommendations
  • Work collaboratively with rebuild teams to support efficient and timely production

Skills & Experience

  • Certification in NDT Ultrasonic Testing (UT1 & UT2)
  • First Class welding experience (advantageous, not essential)
  • Previous experience in an NDT technician role within industrial, heavy equipment, or manufacturing environments
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical abilities
  • Ability to work independently and within a fast‑paced team
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
