About the role

Are you a skilled NDT Technician looking for an exciting opportunity?

With continued growth and future expansion plans our Component Rebuild Centre (CRC) on-site at Tomago is seeking two skilled NDT Technicians to join their expanding teams.

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisors across our Engines and Power Train divisions, you will play a crucial role in the testing of engines, powertrains, and final drive components from a variety of large-scale CAT machinery and equipment.

The successful applicants will join a high-performing team that ensures a safe work environment, customer satisfaction, and technician productivity.

Roster & Remuneration

Option 1: Monday – Friday (rotating days/nights)

• Monday - Friday (50 Hour week + rotating days/nights)
• Roster Pattern: 5D2O x2 5N2O x2
• Day shift: 05:30-16:00 & Night shift: 16:00-02:30

Option 2: 4 Day Weeks – Long Weekends EVERY WEEKEND

• Monday-Thursday / Tuesday-Friday (50 Hour week + rotating days/nights)
• Roster Pattern: 4D3O x1 4N3O x1
• Day shift: 05:30-16:00 & Night shift: 16:00-02:30

    Key Responsibilities

• Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) on various components to ensure quality and safety.
• Utilise advanced NDT techniques and equipment.
• Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable standards and specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections and findings while generating reports and recommendations.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure timely completion of rebuild projects.

Skills and Experience

• Certification in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Ultrasonic Testing (UT1 & UT 2).
• First Class welding experience is an advantage but not essential.
• Proven experience in a similar role.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills.
