WesTrac is growing fast, and we’re opening the doors for skilled Light Vehicle Mechanics, Engine Specialists, and Qualified Plant Mechanics to join our high‑performance Component Rebuild Centre (CRC) in Tomago.

If you love getting hands-on with real mechanical challenges, this is your workshop.

Whether you’re:
A light vehicle mechanic ready to step up into heavy diesel,
A seasoned plant mechanic wanting to specialise, or
An engine guru craving more complex builds,

…you’ll be working on CAT engines, powertrains, final drives, and major components from some of the most iconic machines in the industry

Choose the Roster That Fuels Your Lifestyle

Option One

  • Monday to Friday role
  • Week One – day shift, Week Two – night shift
  • Early finish Fridays!

Option Two

  • Weekend warrior Friday to Monday
  • Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday off every week!
  • 12.5 hour shifts allowing you to accrue 5 weeks annual leave!

What You’ll Bring to the Workshop

  • A recognised mechanical trade qualification (Light Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle, Plant Mechanic or similar) with a passion for handson component work.
  • Experience in overhaul, rebuild or changeoutsengine assembly or component rebuild skills highly regarded.
  • A strong safety mindset with a commitment to doing the job right the first time.
  • Adaptable, solutionsdriven attitude, with the drive to learn new skills and master CAT componentry.
  • Team-focused approach, thriving in a collaborative, highperformance workshop environment.
  • Bonus licences & experience such as HRWL (Forklift/Dogging), exposure to Caterpillar equipment, and a valid Driver’s Licence.
