About the Opportunity

With a strong pipeline of work and continued growth across our business, we're looking for experienced Hydraulic Fitters and Hydraulic Mechanics to join our specialist Hydraulics Workshop team.

This is your opportunity to work on a diverse range of hydraulic components supporting some of Australia's leading mining operations. Every day brings something different, from rebuilding cylinders and valves through to overhauling pumps, motors and accumulators from both surface and underground mining equipment.

What you’ll do

Working from our purpose-built Hydraulics Workshop, you'll be responsible for:

  • Stripping, inspecting and rebuilding hydraulic components
  • Overhauling hydraulic cylinders, valves, pumps, motors and accumulators
  • Diagnosing component wear and identifying repair requirements
  • Restoring components to OEM and quality standards
  • Supporting both internal WesTrac operations and external customers across NSW and the ACT
  • Maintaining a safe, organised and efficient workshop environment
  • Working independently while contributing positively to a team-focused culture

 

What you’ll bring

Essential

  • Mechanical Trade Qualification
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding capability
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication skills

Highly Regarded

  • Experience overhauling piston pumps and hydraulic motors
  • Previous hydraulic workshop or mining industry experience
