WesTrac is seeking experienced Fitters to join our team throughout NSW!

Our Workshops are responsible for completing new machine builds, machine overhauls and diagnostic repairs on a range of CAT equipment from M Series Graders to Off-Highway Trucks. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you will utilise your mechanical expertise to conduct inspections, repair faults and ensure machines are in optimal working condition. With a key focus on safety, these roles are best suited to those passionate about delivering high-quality results and ensuring our customer needs are met.

What we're looking for

As the successful candidate you will possess the following skills:

• Mechanical trade qualification with heavy industry experience
• Familiarity with Caterpillar construction and mining equipment
• Experience rebuilding mobile mining equipment and / or components
• Solutions focused mindset and ability to adapt to changing requirements 
• Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills
• Unrestricted Drivers Licence
• Close attention to detail and ability to perform tasks to meet Caterpillar quality standards
• Team oriented with proven ability to meet set deadlines

Rosters and Remuneration

Option 1: Monday – Friday (day shift)

• 8.5 hour shifts
• Hourly rates from $39.55

Option 1: Monday – Friday (rotating days/nights)

• Roster Pattern: 2 weeks of days, followed by 2 weeks of nights.
• 10.5 hour shifts
• Hourly rates from $45+

Option 2: Lifestyle Roster (14/28)- working half the year

• Roster Pattern: 2 days, 2 nights, 5 off, 2 days, 3 nights, 4 off, 3 days 2 nights, 5 off.
• 12.5 hour shifts
• Hourly rates from $45+
