About the role

Due to continued growth, our Machine Shop are seeking talented First-Class Machinists to join the team at Tomago!

 

Reporting to our Workshop Supervisor, our First-Class Machinists operate several CNC and manual machines to provide machining support to our internal workshops and external customers. With pathways to Field Service roles, this role will see you utilising your ability to interpret engineering drawings and dimensional tolerances to ensure all components are produced to a high standard.

 

As our First-Class Machinist, you will have a key focus on safety with an ability to prioritise your workload effectively and strive for customer satisfaction!

 

Roster & Remuneration

  • Roster Pattern: 5D2O x2 5N2O x2
  • Monday to Thursday 10.5-hour shifts, Friday 8.5-hour shifts
  • Hourly Rates FROM $53.38 + OT FROM $80.07+
  • Delayed starts available!

Skills & Experience

  • Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade with post trade experience.
  • Prior experience with manual and CNC Machining including but not limited to Lathes, Milling Machines, Horizontal and vertical borers, cylindrical and surface grinding, and surface coatings (Laser, HVOF and Metal Spraying).
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Nationally accredited Forklift, Dogman, and Working at Height tickets are desirable.
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment is highly regarded.
