About the Opportunity

Join a high-performing finance team supporting one of Australia’s leading industrial businesses as a Financial Planning & Evaluation Analyst. In this commercially focused role, you’ll play a key part in shaping strategic decision-making and driving business performance within a complex, fast-paced environment, working closely with senior leaders and operational stakeholders.
Reporting to the Finance Manager (NSW), you will deliver high-quality financial planning, forecasting and analytical insights across the business. Acting as a true business partner, you’ll translate data into meaningful insights, support strategic initiatives, and contribute to continuous improvement across both financial and operational performance.
Key responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and medium-term planning processes
- Provide commercial insights and decision support to senior stakeholders and ELT
- Develop and maintain financial models across scenarios (Excel, SAP/Oracle)
- Analyse financial and operational performance to identify key drivers, risks and opportunities
- Partner with cross-functional teams and present insights at forums including Integrated Business Reviews (IBR)
- Drive continuous improvement, process optimisation and advancement of analytics/BI capabilities
Skills and Experience
- CA/CPA qualified with a degree in Commerce or similar, with 5–8+ years’ experience in financial planning, analysis or business partnering
- Proven experience working within large, complex organisations
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability, with strong ERP exposure (SAP/Oracle highly regarded)
- Ability to manage, analyse and interpret large, complex data sets to drive insights
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes
- A proactive, curious mindset with a strong focus on continuous improvement and driving business performance
- Demonstrated experience with AI tools desirable.
