About the Role

WesTrac is seeking an experienced and organised Facilities Maintenance Coordinator to join our experienced team based onsite at Tomago. Reporting to the Facilities Maintenance supervisor, the Facility Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the effective planning and scheduling of service and repairs to fix plant and selected mobile equipment on site at Tomago.

The Facilities Maintenance coordinator is also accountable for day-to-day supervision of all facility maintenance site contractors and the effective communication and reporting of maintenance and repairs to internal stakeholders and the facility maintenance supervisor to ensure minimal equipment downtime and impact on normal operations.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Live the Values – Leads by example every day through actions, behaviours and decisions.
  • Prepare and Review Work Orders – Ensure instructions, materials, and safety requirements are clear and sufficient for task completion.
  • Oversee facility maintenance contractors to ensure compliance with statutory and site HSEQ standards.
  • Review and approve high-risk activities, ensuring JHAs and risk assessments (e.g., working at heights) are completed before work begins.
  • Direct contractors using the scope and plans and contribute to equipment performance reviews with recommendations for maintenance or upgrades.

 

Skills & Experience

  • A current Trade qualification in Electrotechnology is essential.
  • Experience completing facility maintenance tasks and compliance with WHS standards is desirable.
  • Demonstrated understanding of maintenance procedures and experience in developing maintenance plans.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain successful working relationships
  • Computer literacy skills – MS Office and utilising Maintenance Planning Software (example MEX).
  • Strong time management, planning and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet objectives.
