About the role

Our Component Rebuild Centre (CRC) is experiencing continued growth, and we’re expanding our team! As a Mechanical Technician in our Component Rebuild team, you’ll play a crucial role in the assembly and disassembly of engines, powertrains, and final drives from a variety of CAT machines. Reporting to the Workshop Supervisors, you’ll receive specialised training on the job to assist with maintenance, servicing, and complete rebuilds.

 

The successful applicants will join a high performing team that ensure a safe work environment, customer satisfaction, and technician productivity.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the assembly and disassembly of engines, powertrains, and final drives.
  • Contribute to maintenance tasks and servicing procedures.
  • Ensure a safe work environment, prioritise customer satisfaction, and maintain high technician productivity.
  • Work effectively within a high-performing team to meet deadlines and achieve goals.

Skills & Experience

  • A strong interest in mechanical systems and a willingness to learn.
  • Experience using hand tools for repair and assembly work.
  • Ability to follow procedures and scopes of work.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safe working practices.
  • Familiarity with component change-outs and engine assembly is advantageous.
  • Collaborative and able to work well within a team.

Licenses (Desirable):

  • High Risk Work Licenses for Forklift and Dogging.
  • Unrestricted Driver’s License.

 Roster & Remuneration 

  • Monday-Friday (50 Hour week + rotating days/nights)
  • Roster Pattern: 5D2O x2 5N2O x2
  • Hourly Rate: $36.59
  • Overtime Rate: $54.89
