Component Planner - Tomago
About the role
Our Component Solutions team is seeking a Component Planner to join us on a full-time basis, Monday to Friday, at our Tomago head office. This is a 12-month maximum term role and offers potential opportunities for career development.
Reporting to the Component Solutions Lead, the Component Planner is responsible for analysing component forecasts and coordinating the planning process for component rebuilds to ensure WesTrac is best positioned to deliver on customer requirements. Working collaboratively with parts, inventory and operational teams, the Component Planner works to ensure efficient supply plan management over the short term and will make recommendations for required parts and optimal stock levels to ensure availability and timely execution of customer component needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and evaluate future component forecasts to ensure customer requirements are met
- Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to align forecasts and action plans with customer needs
- Through analysis of forecast, make recommendations for required parts and optimal stock levels
- Identify critical parts required to support timely execution of component rebuilds
- Coordinate the planning process for component rebuilds and progress of customer owned component rebuilds
- Understand key deliverables in customer agreements and ensure the solution provided meets these requirements
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to assist in the effective and efficient operation of the business
- Generate effective solutions through troubleshooting and problem-solving customer needs
Skills & Experience
- Ability to problem solve whilst have well-developed analytical & decision-making abilities
- Customer centric approach to problem solving
- Previous experience of parts, parts interpreting & workshop operations is desirable
- Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal
- Ability to work successfully in a team & individually, as well as build and maintain positive working relationships
- Experience with scheduling & DBS software is desirable
- Excellent organisation skills with proven ability to manage fluctuating workloads
