About the role

Join our General Workshop Rebuilds team at Tomago as a Boilermaker and weld your way to success!

 

With a robust forecast of work, your role will be crucial in mobile plant repairs and maintenance. You’ll construct, assemble, and repair metal structures and equipment using various welding and metalwork techniques.

 

The ideal candidates should be able to read and interpret plans and blueprints, as well as have excellent communication skills. Furthermore, candidates must possess strong attention to detail, be reliable, and work with a team-oriented mindset.

 

Roster and Remuneration

Lifestyle Roster – WORKING ONLY HALF THE YEAR!

  • Complete your nights in 1 swing, every 3 weeks!
  • Roster Pattern: 5D4O 5N4O – work 15 days out of 28
  • Day shift: 0600-1830 & Night shift: 1800-0630 (12.5 HR shifts)
  • Hourly rates UP TO $54.64 + OT $81.96 + super *

What we’re looking for

  • Cert III in Engineering – Fabrication (Australian Trade recognised).
  • Experience in OXY/Thermal processes: cutting, heating, and thermal lancing.
  • Carbon arc gouging experience.
  • Proficient in MIG welding (multiple wire applications needed).
  • Experience in mobile plant repairs will be highly regarded.
  • Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements.
  • Safety-focused mindset.
  • Able to read, interpret, and manufacture from engineering drawings.
