Your new role as the Plant Mechanic for Tom Price will be reporting to the Workshop Supervisor.

 

Department Overview:

Our Tom Price Branch powers the Pilbara with expert on-site CAT support. Our expert team—across FIFO and residential roles, keep machines moving and downtime minimal—tailoring solutions to meet every customer's needs.

 

Location: Rio Tinto Mine, Marandoo, Tom Price

Roster - 8Days, 6Off, 7Nights, 7Off - 12 hour shifts

  

What you'll do:

  • Perform customer repairs on CAT machinery..
  • Ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently in a team environment.
  • Working on D10 and D11 Dozers, 992 Wheel Loaders, 24M Graders, and a wide range of models of Off Highway Trucks (777F - 793F)

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Trade qualified - Mobile Plant Technology

  • Regional Mine site experience maintaining similar fleet type

  • Current Forklift Licence, EWP, Dogging & Basic Rigging, Working at Heights
  • Advanced diagnostic skills

  • Advanced ability to interpret repair & fault-finding using guides (CAT SIS)

  • CAT Dealership experience with traditional CAT fleet OHT, Grader or Loader
