About the role

Are you interested in career progression, upskilling and opportunities? WesTrac Tamworth are looking for an Plant Mechanic to join our close-knit team. This role will report into our workshop supervisor, but you will have the additional support of the workshop leading hands to assist with your learning & development and daily duties. As a Mechanic with WesTrac, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and repairing CAT equipment for some of the biggest mining customers across NSW. Collaborating with our team to deliver exceptional results, your extensive technical skills and expertise will be utilised to ensure all work is completed to Caterpillar standards and meets our customer’s requirements.

The successful candidates will have a clear way of progression and support in upskilling. Field Service, Trade upgrade and Dual Trade options are available for the right candidate. 

 

Roster & Remuneration

  • Monday – Friday
  • 10 Hour Shifts
  • Generous hourly rates available and annual salary reviews
  • Overtime is available

 

What we’re looking for

  • Mechanical trade qualifications - Plant Mechanic, Heavy Deisel Mechanic & Agricultural Mechanic. If you have another qualification similar, please enquire and we will see if we have a role for you!
  • Previous experience in a similar role. Heavy Vehicle experience is essential
  • Previous Caterpillar experience is highly desirable 
  • Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety
  • Ability to work autonomously
