About the Opportunity

 

WesTrac | Tamworth - Field Service

Join our Tamworth Field Service Team and be part of a highly skilled crew delivering industry-leading CAT machine support in the field. You’ll take ownership of maintenance, repairs, diagnostics, and component change-outs on-site, ensuring every machine operates safely, reliably, and at peak performance.
 

What you’ll do

 

  • Perform on-site maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting and component replacements on CAT equipment
  • Conduct inspections, diagnostics and quality checks to identify faults and ensure equipment reliability
  • Complete scheduled maintenance and field service activities in line with customer requirements and operational priorities
  • Maintain a safe, organised work environment in the field while collaborang closely with Supervisors, planners and site personnel

 

What you’ll bring

 

  • Australian‑recognised mechanical trade (e.g., Cert III HD Plant)
  • Proven rebuilds/major component overhaul/assembly experience
  • CAT or comparable surface mining gear; strong diagnostics/fault‑finding
  • Proactive, safety‑first mindset; unrestricted driver’s licence
  • Field Service Experience (Highly regarded)
