About the role

WesTrac is looking for several experienced Field Service Plant Mechanics. The ideal candidate will be motivated and have 3-5 years of post-trade experience, especially in machine overhauls and the servicing and maintenance of various Cat equipment. You should bring a high level of technical skills and expertise to the role, along with a strong drive and motivation to succeed and work well within a team. Ideally, candidates will have Heavy Vehicle Mechanic qualifications.

You will report to the Field Service Supervisor and work alongside a team of experienced Plant Mechanics. This role requires you to be out in the field.

Skills & Experience

• Certificate III in Mobile Plant Technology or equivalent
• Familiar with Caterpillar Equipment
• OEM Experience (highly desirable)
• Exposure to SIS or ET (highly desirable)
• Excellent diagnostic and repair skills
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders to ensure deliveries are made on time and to customer standard
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work autonomously in the field and in a team
• Current Licence
