About the role

Are you an experienced Plant Mechanic, Heavy Diesel Mechanic or Agricultural Mechanic and seeking a new challenge or wanting to relocate?  WesTrac Tamworth are looking for a Mechanic to join our team!
You will bring a high level of technical skills and expertise to the role, along with a strong drive and motivation to succeed.
Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor and working alongside other technician's, you will be supporting our customers in NSW, performing onsite maintenance and repairs to a range of Caterpillar machinery including dump trucks, excavators, dozers and loaders. 

 

Skills & Experience

  • Plant Mechanic qualification or similar - Heavy Diesel, Agricultural & Auto Electrician will be highly regarded
  • Previous experience working with Caterpillar equipment is essential
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • A high level of interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills, with a commitment to meeting customer requirements

 

Roster and rem 

  • Multiple roster options available - 8/6, 7/7, 4/3
  • Potential earnings of up to $240k per annum
  • 21% location allowance if working at The Gunnedah Basin 
  • 15% Field Service allowance 
  • 15% Shift allowance for applicable rosters

 

The successful applicant will be motivated, have a strong drive to succeed and ideally have 3 years post trade experience. As this role will see the successful candidate working out on the field, only applicants with CAT experience will be considered.
