About the role
WesTrac is seeking a Field Service Supervisor to join our team in Sydney! 
Reporting to the Branch Manager, our Field Service Supervisor is responsible for overseeing a small team of Field Service Plant Mechanics specialising in CAT Marine & Industrial equipment. This role will see you utilising your previous experience to provide support and guidance to your team, ensuring customer needs are met and work is completed within agreed timeframes. 
As the main point of contact for our customers and Field Service technicians, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient coordination of all matters relating to the customer including but not limited to; sourcing of labour to meet demand, scope of work to be completed, scheduling of jobs, pricing and invoicing of work required.
Based from our Casula branch, this position will be offered on a full-time permanent basis, working Monday to Friday.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and developing new customer contacts
  • Scheduling and allocating work orders for the Field Service team
  • Roster management, review and approval of timesheets
  • Providing leadership to a small team of specialists focusing on marine and industrial applications
  • Effectively planning labour to ensure productivity targets are achieved
  • Promoting a continuous improvement approach to all areas of responsibility
  • Provide technical support for the Field Service team
  • Ensuring a safe work environment is maintained at all time
     

Skills & Experience 

  • Trade certified mechanic/electrician with exposure to CAT Marine products
  • Strong people management, mentoring and leadership capabilities
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem solving and negotiation skills 
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise conflicting priorities and deadlines 
  • Advanced stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to establish and maintain successful working relationships
  • Highly developed communication skills (interpersonal, written and verbal)
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills (including Microsoft Office)
