About the role

WesTrac is seeking a Field Service Auto Electrician to join our team and provide support in the Sydney region. As a Field Service Auto Electrician, you will have the valuable opportunity to closely collaborate with our large-scale customer base throughout NSW, ensuring a seamless delivery and handover process for all machines.

 

Your primary responsibility will involve acting as the main onsite point of contact for customers and coordinating the onsite assembly and customisation of CAT machinery. Additionally, you will be responsible for conducting repairs, maintenance, and inspections on various CAT equipment.

 

This crucial aspect of your role includes diagnosing faults, performing routine maintenance tasks, and conducting meticulous inspections to ensure that all machines are in optimal working condition before being handed over to the customer.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary onsite point of contact, addressing customer requirements and providing excellent customer service.
  • Coordinate onsite assembly and customisation of CAT machinery based on customer specifications.
  • Perform repairs, maintenance, and inspections on CAT machinery to ensure optimal working conditions before handover.
  • Provide travel support, visiting various locations in NSW to offer field service assistance and address customer needs.
  • Liaise and coordinate with internal stakeholders, such as Mining Support Representatives and Project Coordinators, to manage customer requests and machine requirements, ensuring a smooth and efficient delivery process.

 

Roster and Remuneration

  • Monday - Friday (50-hour week)
  • Roster Pattern: 5D2O
  • Day shift: 06:30 – 17:00
  • Hourly rates UP TO $55.87 + OT $83.81
  • Delayed starts available.

Skills & Experience

  • Certificate III in Automotive Electrical Technology
  • Familiar with Caterpillar Equipment
  • OEM Experience
  • Exposure to SIS or ET
  • Excellent diagnostic and repair skills
  • Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders to ensure deliveries are made on time and to customer standard
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously in the field and in a team
  • Current Licence
