Are you ready to take your career to the next level? Join our Ravensworth team as a Leading Hand Plant Mechanic and showcase your mechanical and technical expertise. In this pivotal role, you will lead a team of tradespeople, driving performance and fostering a safety-first culture throughout the workshop. This is your chance to specialise in Caterpillar 797F Mining Trucks, performing critical maintenance, repairs, and inspections on our customers’ impressive fleet. A Leading Hand position with WesTrac is an excellent pathway to future leadership, technical support or field service positions.
 

Roster & Remuneration

  • Monday – Thursday, day shift only.
  • Hourly Rate: $61+ Overtime Rate: $91+
  • Annual earnings starting from $152,000+
  • Site based incentives, earn an additional $11,000

*Rates above are a guide only and each candidate will be assessed based on competencies and experience within role


Skills & Experience

As the successful candidate you will possess the following skills:

  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Mechanical trade qualification (Australian trade recognised)
  • Component removal and installation desirable
  • Machine rebuild experience on large mining equipment highly regarded
  • Working at heights or willing to complete
  • MDG25 or willing to complete
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar Equipment
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong commitment to meeting customer requirements
  • Excellent diagnostic and repair skills
  • Strong job planning skills
  • Glencore generic induction preferred but not essential
  • Ability to complete an Order 43 Coal Board medical
