About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced MARC Manager to lead the successful delivery of a major Maintenance and Repair Contract (MARC) operation across key NSW mining customers. This is a critical senior leadership position responsible for the safety, operational, commercial and customer performance of a large-scale mining maintenance contract.
Reporting to the Regional Manager – Hunter Valley, you will have overall accountability for contract health, fleet reliability, customer satisfaction, financial performance, continuous improvement and the leadership of multidisciplinary teams operating in a complex mining environment.
This role offers the opportunity to influence strategic customer partnerships, optimise fleet performance and drive operational excellence while leading a high-performing team committed to delivering exceptional outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the safe and successful delivery of MARC operations, ensuring contractual obligations, customer expectations and operational KPIs are consistently achieved.
- Drive fleet reliability, maintenance performance and asset availability outcomes to maximise customer productivity and value.
- Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders, acting as the key interface between WesTrac and the customer.
- Take ownership of contract commercial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost management, reporting and P&L accountability.
- Lead, coach and develop multidisciplinary teams, fostering a high-performance culture focused on safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Identify and implement operational improvement initiatives that enhance fleet performance, contract health and customer outcomes.
Skills & Experience
- Extensive leadership experience within mining, heavy mobile equipment, maintenance, engineering, reliability or operational environments.
- Demonstrated success managing large-scale maintenance contracts, mining service agreements or operational business units.
- Strong commercial acumen with proven responsibility for P&L performance, budgeting, forecasting and cost control.
- Proven ability to build influential relationships and engage effectively with customers, senior leaders and operational stakeholders.
- Strong technical understanding of mining fleet maintenance, asset management and Caterpillar or similar heavy mobile equipment.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Business, Maintenance Management or a related discipline, coupled with a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
