Plant Mechanic – United Wambo

 

WesTrac is seeking skilled Plant Mechanics to join the team!

Based at United Wambo, you will utilise your mechanical expertise to provide mechanical support on a newly commissioned fleet of 789 Off-Highway Trucks. With a key focus on safety, you will be responsible for performing inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure minimal downtime of machines.

This is an excellent pathway for a transition to Field Service positions.

 

Rosters, Remuneration & Location       

  • Location & Shift allowances included in hourly rates 
  • Variety of roster available including;
          -   Roster One: 4 On, 5 Off, 5 On, 4 Off, 5 On, 5 Off  
          -   Roster Two: 2 On, 2 Off, 3 On, 2 Off, 2 On, 3 Off, 2 On, 2 Off, 3 On, 2 Off, 2 On, 3 Off 
  • Potential earnings from $130,000 - $180,000
     

*Above rates are a guide; each candidate will be assessed on skills and experience

 

Skills & Experience 

  • Cert III Mobile Plant Qualification + Certificate of Proficiency OR Cert III Agricultural Mechanical Technology + Certificate of Proficiency OR Cert III Heavy Commercial Vehicle + Certificate of Proficiency 
  • Familiarity with caterpillar equipment is essential
  • Experience working in both workshop and mine site environments 
  • Strong Diagnostic and Repair skills and a commitment to meeting customer requirements
