Auto Electrician - Ravensworth

 


WesTrac is seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our onsite workshop at Ravensworth.

Utilising your experience, you will specialise in the maintenance and repair of CAT 797F Mining Trucks to ensure smooth operation and reliability of equipment.

With a strong focus on safety, you will bring a drive and motivation to succeed in delivering high-quality work. This position offers a 12.5-hour shift schedule on an attractive lifestyle roster, which includes both day and night shifts, providing a balanced work-life arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and repairs on Caterpillar 797F Mining Trucks including diagnosing electrical issues, troubleshooting problems, and conducting necessary repairs to ensure optimal performance and reliability
  • Conduct inspections of electrical systems to identify any potential issues or areas requiring maintenance which involves assessing the condition of electrical components, wiring, and connections
  • Utilise your expertise in electrical systems to effectively troubleshoot and diagnose complex electrical problems which may involve using diagnostic tools, reading wiring diagrams, and consulting technical manuals to identify and resolve issues efficiently.


Roster & Remuneration

  • Lifestyle 14/28
  • Potential earnings from $130,000 - $160,000
  • Quarterly productivity bonus + site specific incentive schemes available

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Cert III Automotive Electrical (essential)
  • Previous mining experience
  • Sound working knowledge of Caterpillar equipment is highly regarded
  • Ability to work autonomously if required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong time management skills
  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills, with a commitment to meeting customer requirements
