The Opportunity

  • Potential earnings $130,000 - $160,000+ super *guide only
  • Lifestyle Roster | Rotating day and night shifts
  • 2 Days, 3 Nights, 4 Off, 3 Days, 2 Nights, 5 Off, 2 Days, 2 Nights, 5 Off
  • Day Shift: 5:45am-6:15pm, Night Shift: 5:45pm- 6:15am (12.5hrs)

 

WesTrac has an opportunity for an experienced Automotive Electrician to widen their skills onto mining machinery, working onsite at Ravensworth coal mine. An ordinary day in this role will see you inspecting and diagnosing electrical issues, troubleshooting problems, and conducting necessary repairs to ensure optimal performance and reliability of on Caterpillar 797F Mining Trucks.

Please Note: We are additionally welcoming dual trade applicants, who are quailed in Electrical Technology and Plant Mechanics. This role can facilitate diversity to utilise your full scope of skills across both trades. 

 

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Cert III Automotive Electrical Technology (Australian recognised trade essential + COP)
  • Transferable heavy machinery skills | mining, highway trucks or quarry equipment
  • Experience working autonomously, exposure to field service advantageous
  • Safety first mentality, and a commitment to product and service excellence
