Storeperson - FIFO

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Store Person will join our Port Hedland Branch in a Full-Time FIFO capacity. This role is responsible for the day to day running of the Port Hedland Toolstore, you be required to maintain the Toolstore as an organised, safe and tidy environment.  You will assist with providing guidance and advice on tooling as well as maintaining stock levels of consumable items.

Port Hedland Workshop
Our workshop handles component and hydraulic rebuilds, mining equipment overhauls, and mid-life maintenance. We assist multinational companies and individual owners, ensuring they fulfill earthmoving commitments.

 

Roster: 9 Days On, 5 Days Off, 12 Hours per day (including meal break)

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Sign tools in and out of tool store
  • Loading/Unloading trucks & moving parts with a forklift within the racking system 
  • Stock checking and Inventory Control 
  • Minor repairs to tooling and reconciliation of tooling
  • Processing orders and sourcing vendor items
  • Handle orders for parts, repairs and calibrations
  • Safety compliance for tooling equipment
  • Log repairs and maintenance using WesTrac systems
  • Maintain workshop assets and ensure QC control
  • Plan and ensure operational equipment for jobs

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Forklift Ticket (High Risk LF) is essential
  • Warehouse Management systems (SAP, DBS or similar)
  • Previous experience in a similar role will guide you to success
  • Positive attitude with great attention to detail
  • Computer literacy - inclusive of MS Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in a workshop environment (Desirable)
  • Rigging and Dogging Ticket (Desirable)
