Your new role as a Boilermaker reports into the Workshop Supervisor in a permanent FIFO from Perth or Port Hedland residential position with our Port Hedland Team where you’ll have your own Boilermaker specific service truck to take to various clients. 
 

About Port Hedland 
Our Port Hedland branch handles component and hydraulic rebuilds, mining equipment overhauls, and mid-life maintenance. We assist multinational companies and individual owners, ensuring they fulfill earthmoving commitments.

 

Roster: 12Days, 9Off OR 14Days, 7Off – 10.5hrs/day (inclusive of meal break)

 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Fabricate and repair structural steel and equipment components on Caterpillar mining equipment 
  • Read and interpret schematics and specifications accurately 
  • Liaise with various site/local clients on their requirements in an effective manner 

 

Skills & Experience: 

  • Australian recognised Boilermaker or Fabrication Trade Certificate (essential)
  • Heavy-Rigid Licence (essential)
  • Proficiency in MIG and Arc welding techniques – TIG is a bonus 
  • Crane (CN), Dogging (DG) and Rigging (RG) High Risk Work Licences
  • Working in a field service role or mine site experience 
  • Experience working on large mining machinery
