Technology Application Specialist

Reporting into CI Product and After Market Manager, the Technology Application Specialist will join our team on a Full-Time basis at our Perth Precinct. This role involves providing Subject Matter Experts advice on all levels of new and existing technology that enables  the highest possible market share with- Caterpillar construction equipment.

Roster: Monday – Friday 8.5 hours/day (including meal break)

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Follow company safety procedures and practices to aim for zero lost time incidents.
  • -Provide strategic selection of best for customer application technology on construction machines -
  • Schedule and coordinate machine familiarization internally and at the customer's job site to promote technology benefits and best practices.
  • Lead Go-To-Market product trials and process validations, helping customers adjust and ensuring technology adds value.
  • Support the CI Product Managers in the new construction equipment NPI process.
  • Ensure quotes for the technology suite of products are clear and accurate, including content, layout, and descriptions.
  • Assist with commercial interactions from query to invoicing, including site assessments, quotes, bundling, installation guides, and ongoing transactions.

 

Skills & Experience:

  • Trade Certification in Electrician, Mechanical Technician, Mechatronics Technician or similar that is recognised by Australian and WA trade
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in OEM or similar environment
  • Strong understanding of operational processes and technologies (e.g., IP networks, radio communications, on-board machine technology) with skills in solutions integration, troubleshooting, process mapping, and business analysis.
  • Experience in earth moving or construction environment using technology products (e.g., Mining High Precision GPS, Construction Survey Systems, UTS).
  • Experienced and proficient commercial acumen
  • Proven excellent communication skills (verbal, written and interpersonal)
  • Proven experience in providing technical training to stakeholders
