WesTrac are looking for motivated Senior Power Generation Technician’s to join our team.

 

Joining the Power Generation team, the Senior Technician is responsible for the installation, calibration, commissioning, and ongoing support of the range of Integration and Control systems on Caterpillar (CAT) and Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Power Generation sets.

 

As the Senior Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical knowledge and skills across software and hardware selection, fault diagnosis / rectification and remote and/or onsite field product support, whilst ensuring Safety, Quality and Compliance or work is of the highest standard.

You will have the opportunity to mentor and provide engaging leadership to other Power Generation team. This role will see you will be providing a high level of customer service for both internal and external clientele.

 

Location: Perth Airport (Anderson Place)

As the role is field base, there is the requirement to travel to site. On-Demand allowances provided.

 

Roster: 5/2 10.5hrs (Monday to Friday – Permanent Full-Time)

 

To be successful the follow must be demonstrated,

  • Western Australian “A” Grade Electrical Workers License
  • CAT – CEPA Certificates 1, 2, 3 & GAS Power generation would be highly advantageous
  • 5+ years’ post trade experience in Power Generation systems and/or products
  • Experience with Synchronization and programming of electrical control systems.
  • Possess or be willing to acquire an Electrical High Voltage Switching ticket.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to absorb technical information quickly.
  • Knowledge and understanding of appropriate Australian and International Standards as well as relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Advanced stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to establish and maintain successful working relationships.
  • Demonstrated understanding as to the importance of effective Customer Management to build and maintain collaborative working relationships.
  • C Class manual driver’s license.
  • An ability to read and interpret single line diagrams, electrical schematics, and technical specifications.
  • Skills to complete testing, technical and administrative documentation to a high standard
  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
